This small tyrant flycatcher occurs in South America. It has a partly concealed tawny crown patch and searches for insects in low scrub.
A tawny crown patch is partly concealed by the feathers; the belly is pale yellow and the wings have fine gray bars.
In dry to semi-humid scrub and forest edges, it stays alone in dense cover near the ground and sallies out for arthropods.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
