The Bronze Parotia is a bird of paradise whose male has a blackish body with a bronze sheen and ornamental feathers. The female is brown. The Australian Museum places the species in the Foja Mountains of West Papua.
The adult male is blackish, with a strong bronze sheen on the nape and mantle, long feathers above the eyes, and a large white patch on each flank. The female is brown, with dark bars on the underparts.
In montane wet forest, a male clears a patch of forest floor for a courtship dance. Its diet is unknown; fruit is only presumed.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
