Hodgson's Redstart moves between breeding and wintering areas. It uses high-elevation scrub and forest edges, and searches for food in the upper parts of trees.
Males have a white eyebrow, a gray head and back, and a white wing patch. Females have a pale eye-ring and gray chest but lack the male's white wing patch.
It uses high-elevation scrub, valleys, forest edges, and meadows, and feeds in the tree canopy. It moves to southern wintering areas outside the breeding season.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
