The Snoring Rail is a difficult-to-see rail of Sulawesi's forests. It moves on the ground among dense undergrowth.
It is a weak flier that moves mainly on foot through dense vegetation. Its habit of staying in cover makes it difficult to see.
By day it searches for invertebrates in liana and bamboo thickets, streamside lowland forest, and lower montane forest. It may make short flights.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
