The White-headed Buffalo Weaver is a stocky bird with a white head and brown back that forages on the ground near acacia trees.
It is white from the head through the throat and flanks, with a brown back and tail. The bend of the wing is orange, and a red-orange rump shows in flight. The sexes look alike.
It is seen in pairs or small flocks and eats seeds, fruit, and insects near acacia trees. The male builds a nest suspended from a branch.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
