The Comoro Blue Vanga is a blue bird of woodland in the Comoros. It was formerly grouped with the Madagascar Blue Vanga but is now a separate species. Its current status on Grand Comoro is uncertain.
The upperparts are blue, the area around the eye is black, and the underside is white. The bill is blue with a dark tip, and the eye is pale blue. Females have a light orange wash below and white flecks on the eyebrow and ear-coverts.
It inhabits woodland and is rarer at sea level than higher up. It eats invertebrates, with caterpillars apparently important, and also takes some fruit.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
