The Oriental Cuckooshrike is a 28 cm cuckooshrike found discontinuously from the Himalayan foothills through parts of southern China and Southeast Asia, and also on Java and Bali.
It is about 28 cm long. In Chinese populations, males have a grey to greenish-grey body with a black face mask and black flight feathers. Females are paler, lack the mask, and have grey barring below.
It is reported as resident and gleans invertebrates in trees. Accounts from China place it in open woodland and forest edges from lowlands to hills, sometimes perched high on bare trees.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
