The Red-faced Malkoha is a long-tailed cuckoo with a red face and green bill, native to Sri Lanka. It uses the forest canopy and dense undergrowth.
Adults have a black head and upperparts with a blue-green sheen, a red face, and a green bill. The throat and breast are black, and the belly is white. Juveniles have a smaller, duller red facial patch and duller plumage.
It mainly uses tall forests in southwestern Sri Lanka and moves through the canopy. It may descend into the lower forest where the undergrowth is dense.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
