The White-hooded Babbler lives along forest edges and in bamboo in the eastern Himalayas and southwestern China, moving in noisy groups.
Adults of the nominate subspecies have a white head and breast, a sandy-brown back, and a buff belly.
It eats insects and calls in noisy groups that may sometimes number about 20 birds.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
