This spinetail inhabits wetlands in the Amazon basin. Its rufous upperparts contrast with a white underside.
The upperparts are bright rufous, the underside is white, and the lores and bill are dark.
It uses marshes and swamps along rivers where low vegetation is dense, and searches for small arthropods close to the ground or within that cover.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
