Paulina’s limestone rat was described from a karst region in Khammouane Province, central Laos. The original account records captures on rocky forested slopes among degraded deciduous forest, scrub and bamboo.
The upper fur is dark gray to nearly black, the underside is lightly frosted dark gray, and the footpads are conspicuously bulbous.
Specimens were collected on steep rocky slopes and among boulders in karst, with degraded deciduous forest, scrub and bamboo nearby.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
