A honeyeater of tropical rainforest in northeastern Queensland, Australia, from Cooktown to Paluma. It takes nectar as well as insects and ripe fruit.
It is brown with fine white marks on the neck and larger white spots on the back. The underside is olive and white-streaked, with a black cap, grey throat, and orange-yellow around the eye.
It feeds on nectar, insects, and ripe fruit, moving through canopy and understory; it is often heard rather than seen.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
