Lepilemur aeeclis occurs in northwestern Madagascar. A forest survey in the Antrema protected area reported this mainly leaf-eating lemur more often in closed-canopy forest and less often in shrub, dune, and wooded agricultural sites.
The species description notes a greyish face and protruding rounded ears. Coat color varies with age and lighting.
At Antrema, the 2022 study classified it as predominantly folivorous; sightings were more frequent in closed-canopy forest and lower in shrub, dune forest, and wooded agricultural sites.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
