The Rufous-winged Cisticola is a small cisticola of grassland and wetland edges in southeastern Africa. Its rufous back feathers help identify it.
It is about 13 cm long. Rufous feathers show on its back, while the head and face are greyish. Males are reported to be slightly larger than females.
It searches for insects and other small invertebrates in grass along water and field edges. It also eats some seeds.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
