The Little Pied Cormorant is a small cormorant of Australia and nearby regions, with contrasting dark upperparts and a white underside.
Its back and wings are black, while its chest and belly are covered with white feathers. In adults the white extends above the eye; immature birds lack this white area above the eye.
It dives for fish and forages in a range of waters, from freshwater to coastal areas.
The nest is a flat platform of sticks lined with green leaves, usually placed in a tree. A clutch contains 3–4 eggs, and both adults incubate and care for the young.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
