A goose of Patagonian grasslands: males are white, while females have brown barred plumage, and both graze on plants.
Males are white with black bars on the back and flanks. Females have brown, black-barred head, chest and belly. Males have black legs, while females' legs are yellowish.
It grazes in wet grassland and walks while feeding in groups. In summer it forms pairs or smaller groups and nests near wetlands.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
