This nocturnal lemur lives in the Sambirano region of northwestern Madagascar. A black fork-shaped marking on its forehead continues as a line along its back.
Its fur is thick and dense, dark brown above and buff-colored below. A broad black fork on the crown joins the dark stripe along the back; the distal third of the tail is dark and may have a white tip.
It is nocturnal and arboreal. Species-specific diet records are limited, but the account considers tree gums likely to be a major food source.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
