This small songbird has a gray-to-green back and a pale ring around each eye. It breeds in North America and winters along western Mexico and the Pacific side of Central America.
Males and females look alike: the head and back range from gray to green, the underside is white, and pale markings circle the eyes.
It moves through riparian shrubs and low branches, picking insects from leaves and twigs. In autumn it leaves breeding areas in the United States and moves to western Mexico and Central America.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
