A green parakeet whose adult males have a black-and-rose neck ring that females and juveniles lack.
It has vivid green plumage, a long tail, and a strongly hooked red upper bill. The black-and-rose neck ring occurs on adult males, not on females or juveniles.
It flies in small, noisy flocks and cracks seeds, fruits, and pods with its powerful bill. In Singapore, it also uses trees in parks and residential areas.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
