Zarudny's Jird was identified from bones found in owl pellets in northeastern Iran. Detailed information about its life in the wild is limited.
The length and shape of hind-limb bones, including the femur and metatarsals, were used to identify remains in pellets.
At Abravan, nine remains of this jird were identified in four owl pellets, and it was recorded as a main prey item in that sample.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
