The Soft-furred Taiwan Niviventer lives in Taiwan’s high mountains. Its back is ash brown, its underside is milky white, and its long tail ends in white hairs.
Its soft fur is ash brown on the back and milky white below, with a sharp boundary. The long tail has white hairs at its tip.
It mainly eats rhizomes, seeds and invertebrates. It is occasionally seen taking food from campsites, although the museum account lists natural foods as its main diet.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
