This mouse was described as an endemic species of Cyprus. It has agouti-patterned fur on the back, and the original description recorded captures in abandoned cultivated plots in the island's south.
Its back has agouti-patterned fur and its belly is whitish. The ears and eyes are large, and the tail is long relative to the head and body.
At Alassa, the type locality, researchers live-trapped it in abandoned cultivation terraces overgrown with thorny shrubs. This describes the original collection site.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
