The Black-and-white Bulbul lives in forests and forest edges in Southeast Asia. Its plumage differs by sex and age.
Males are blackish-brown, with white upper- and underwing-coverts. Females are browner and have less white on the upperwing. Juveniles are paler and browner, with no white on the upperwing.
It is nomadic and often uses the canopy. Its habit of staying high in trees makes it difficult to observe.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
