The Chiapan deermouse is a forest mouse from Chiapas in southern Mexico. It has large ears and a long tail, and has also been recorded as a host for a beetle.
The original description notes large, nearly naked ears and a long tail that appears almost hairless. The back is dark brown and the underside whitish; some specimens have chestnut fur on the chest.
Specimens collected in Chiapas were reported as hosts of the ectoparasitic beetle Amblyopinus schmidti.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
