Armandville's papagomys lives in forests on Flores, Indonesia, and is a very large, robust rat. It is considered probably nocturnal and terrestrial.
It is very large, with long, coarse fur ranging from dark brown to tan. The sides are lighter, the gray belly is sharply set off, and the account notes small rounded ears and a partly differently colored tail.
The treatment suggests that it is nocturnal and mainly terrestrial, and may dig burrows. Leaves, buds, fruit, and insects are also suggested as foods.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
