The Galapagos fur seal is found only on the rocky shores of the Galapagos Islands.
It is smaller than the Galapagos sea lion, with a broader head, large eyes, visible outer ears and thick gray-brown fur.
It often hunts fish and cephalopods in nearby waters at night.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
