A grey to brown rock-wallaby with a pale cheek stripe, it lives in rocky habitat in northern Queensland. At Granite Gorge, provisioned animals began afternoon activity earlier.
The back is grey to brown, with paler sandy underparts and limbs. It has a pale cheek stripe and dark paws and feet; the tail darkens towards its tip.
In the Granite Gorge observations, some wallabies that received food from tourists were more active and emerged earlier in the afternoon to receive food.
It uses rocky habitat within open forest and grassy woodland and is found there more often than in thicker vine forest.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
