The Pink-billed Parrot-Finch was recorded in rainforest on Viti Levu, Fiji. Clunie's account describes it as generally rare but locally common at some sites.
The nesting birds observed had entirely pink bills. Some other birds had black-tipped bills; the author suggested they might be young, but their ages were not confirmed.
In rainforest understory, it was often seen in mixed-species flocks and searched among branches and leaves for insects.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
