This shrew has been recorded in highland forest on Mount Cameroon and in southeastern Nigeria. Its back is brown and its underside paler.
Its brown dorsal fur becomes paler toward the sides, with a clear boundary at the pale underside. The tail is dark above and pale below.
Its diet is poorly known, but it is thought to feed mainly on common invertebrates.
