Yalden’s Desmomys is a rodent known from a small number of records in the mountains of south-western Ethiopia.
Its dark brown back is flecked with black hairs. The underside is whitish with a yellowish band, and the ears and backs of the hind feet are dark.
Specimens were collected in humid mountain forest at 1,800–1,930 metres. Few records are available, and its precise habitat requirements remain unclear.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
