Marley's golden mole is an underground-dwelling mole known from the eastern side of the Lebombo Mountains in South Africa. Its male type specimen was described with a white band across the muzzle.
The male specimen described in 1931 had a dark brown back, rufous flanks, a reddish-brown underside, and a broad white band across the muzzle.
It is nocturnal and insectivorous. It digs underground foraging tunnels and deeper nesting chambers beneath roots or rocks, as reported in the assessment.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
