The Sincora Antwren lives in rocky highland grasslands in Bahia, eastern Brazil. A male's white eyebrow continues along the sides of the throat and breast, separating its black face and underparts from browner upperparts. Females have black streaks on the sides of the throat and breast.
Adult males have a white eyebrow that broadens along the sides of the head, throat, and breast, separating the black face and underparts from browner upperparts. Females lack the black facial mask and have white areas with black streaks on the sides of the head, throat, and breast.
It inhabits campo rupestre, rocky outcrops on high slopes and plateaus, stream-valley slopes, and exposed ridges. In places it occurs alongside Rufous-winged Antwren but uses different habitat.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
