The Double-banded Greytail is a small ovenbird recorded in eastern Panama and parts of Colombia. A field study in Panama documented a nest in a heavily cleared town, built in a tree fork.
The original description characterizes the upperparts as grey to olive-grey and the underparts as pale, with a white nape streak and two white wing bands. It also notes a long tail and pointed wings.
In April 2014, one bird was seen entering and leaving a nest about 4 m above ground in a heavily cleared part of Pirre Uno. The stick nest sat in a fork of a defoliated tree.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
