The Yucatan Wren is restricted to coastal lowlands in the northern Yucatán Peninsula of Mexico. It lives in pairs or small family groups among scattered shrubs and cacti.
The head is dark reddish brown, and the back has white streaks. Fine streaks and bars also mark the breast and belly.
It forages on the ground and in low vegetation, and pairs may sing together. Both partners build a nest in low vegetation.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
