It is a nocturnal gliding possum of north-eastern Australian eucalypt forests. It shelters by day in large hollows in old trees. Its diet includes young eucalypt leaves, buds, and flowers.
It has thick dusky-brown fur above, sometimes with a darker stripe down the back, and whitish fur below. Its gliding membrane extends from the forearm to the tibia.
It is arboreal, nocturnal, and predominantly solitary. It shelters in large tree hollows by day and mainly eats young eucalypt foliage, supplemented by buds and flowers; it is most abundant in wetter, higher-elevation forests with old trees and hollows.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
