Breeding has been confirmed in Djibouti. In 2020, family groups and recently fledged young were seen in rocky wadis with trees.
Juveniles recorded in Djibouti have brown heads and backs with pale spots above, a pale throat, a scalloped breast, and a rufous-brown undertail.
In March 2020, adults were observed feeding fledged young in family groups in tree-lined wadis. Examined stomachs contained insects or were empty, and breeding was confirmed in Djibouti that month.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
