This roller occurs in western and central Africa. Its pale-blue belly and vivid blue tail stand out, and it dives from trees to the ground to catch prey.
Its head and chest are cream-colored, its belly is pale blue, and its wings are dark blue or dark green. The vivid blue tail is slightly forked.
It often lives in groups of about three to seven birds. From a tree perch it dives to the forest floor for prey, including large invertebrates such as beetles and grasshoppers.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
