The Uneven-toothed Rat is a large rodent of New Guinea forests. Its tail is white over the terminal half, and a camera recorded it at a lowland study site.
The terminal half of the tail is white. In the report, the similar White-tailed Giant Rat has a mottled pattern in its white tail tip.
At Wau Creek it appeared on only one camera trap; the authors suggest it may occur at relatively low density at that lowland site.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
