Thomas's aethomys is a rodent recorded from the central plateau of Angola. Detailed habitat and behavior records are scarce.
Its back is reddish-gray and grizzled, while the underside is gray-white. The ears are rounded, and the tail is shorter than head-and-body length.
In the Angolan highlands, it is associated with rocky outcrops. It may also occur near termite mounds. Its diet and activity remain poorly documented.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
