The Black-crowned Sparrow-Lark lives in dry, open country from Africa into the Arabian Peninsula and searches for seeds on the ground.
The male has a bold black-and-white pattern, with a black head and underside. The female is much paler and sandy in color.
It mainly searches the ground for seeds. The Qatar species account also describes males circling with slowly vibrating wings during display flights.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
