The large-spotted civet is a large civet recorded in scrub near wetlands and waterways in Thailand. Large dark spots mark its flanks, and pale rings cross its tail.
A raised line of black hairs runs along its back, and the large dark flank spots can join into bars. Black-and-white neck stripes and pale rings on the tail are also distinctive.
The Thailand account records it in scrub around swamps and along waterways.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
