This mouse occurs on the Guiana Shield. Its tail is longer than its body and ends in a brush-like tuft. It has been found on the ground and among the rocks of tepuis.
The tail exceeds about 1.4 times the head-and-body length and ends in a tuft of hair. The account treats the tail as an important identifying feature.
On tepuis it is reported mainly on the ground and around cliffs, using runways beneath rocks and fallen trees.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
