This yellow-eared bat is recorded from the eastern Andes of Colombia. The original description and current database show records from a restricted area, including Casanare.
It has a leaf-shaped noseleaf and pale stripes on both sides of the face. These traits were reported for specimens described from Colombia.
The collecting locality around Chámeza in Casanare was reported as high-Andean forest. Because sources differ on the elevation, no number is given here.
