The Rufous Hummingbird makes long migrations through western North America. Males are notably rufous, while females are green with rufous sides.
The male has a rufous back and belly with an orange-red throat. The female is mostly green with rufous on the sides and tail.
It feeds on nectar and small insects and can be strongly territorial, chasing other hummingbirds from flowers.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
