The Hyrcanian field mouse is a wood mouse found in Hyrcanian forest along the southern Caspian coast. Behavioral findings come from captive experiments, and field records are limited.
Its fur is dark brown above and white below. In a 2007 study of Iranian specimens, about 70% had an orange patch on the chest.
In neutral-cage tests comparing two species, this mouse spent a high proportion of time in amicable behavior, and no aggression was observed.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
