This short-tailed wallaby is marked by reddish fur on its neck and shoulders. It spends the day in forest and emerges near dusk to feed on plants.
Its brownish-gray coat is paler underneath, with a reddish neck and shoulders. The tail is shorter than the body, and the face has no obvious markings.
It is mostly nocturnal and stays close to dense cover. By day it rests in forest, then feeds on grasses, forbs, and shrubs in more open areas at evening.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
