The Hill Pigeon lives in mountains from Central Asia to the Himalayas and also visits towns.
Its head is pale, and a broad white band stands out across its otherwise dark tail.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
In Swat, Hill Pigeon records significantly indicated the undisturbed site group (indicator value 51.4, p = 0.02). Across the 16 sites, canopy cover, tree basal area and average tree height were higher in the undisturbed group, while bird-community composition was associated with vegetation structure.
