A pigeon with long neck feathers and gleaming blue-green plumage.
As it matures, it develops bright blue-green feathers, with long narrow feathers hanging from the neck. Young birds have duller colours.
It feeds on seeds, berries, nuts and insects on the forest floor. It nests high in trees; the male gathers material and the female builds the nest.
