The Rufous-fronted Bushtit lives in forests and scrub from central Nepal east through the Himalayas. In the nominate form, a broad black mask and buff crown stripe are distinctive; outside the breeding season it forages in flocks.
The nominate form is a tiny, fulvous bird with buff cheeks and a silvery throat patch. It has a broad black mask and a broad buff stripe along the crown.
Outside the breeding season, flocks of about 10 to 40 birds forage through different levels of the forest. They eat insects and larvae, and sometimes plant matter.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
