A 2013 Indian BIRDS paper reports photographs of this tit near Namti and Walong in Arunachal Pradesh, northeastern India. The observed group held six to seven birds and used an open area with ferns and scattered pines.
The paper describes white crown and moustachial stripes and a black throat mark in its photographs. The three photographed birds differ in described gray, buff, and cinnamon areas below, and in eye, bill, and leg colors.
At Namti, six to seven birds moved as a cohesive, restless group and called softly. The site was fairly open, with ferns and scattered pines.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
